About your operation 3

Q Answer the following questions about YO: 1. Submit the 1/2 to 1 page response you provided to the preceding assignment (This will remind me what operation you chose, your role in it, etc. and so it will help me more fairly evaluate your answers to the following questions. Restate here the "customer benefit package" description you submitted in response to Question 4 of the Week 1 "Describe Your Operation" assignment.) 2. Would you now revise the "customer benefit package" statement because of what you have learned in Weeks 2 and 3? If so then explain why and rewrite the statement. 3. Describe the relationship between the "voice of the customer" and the "customer benefit package". 4. Create a simple House of Quality for YO similar to the one on page 88 of the text. I have provided a Microsoft Excel template and a Power Point template Power Point template - Alternative Formats that you may wish to use but your own format is acceptable. Even an uploaded photo of your handwritten House of Quality is acceptable. The point is to convince me that you understand the concept of the House of Quality as it applies to YO. 5. Pages 108 - 109 of the text describes 11 important supply chain decisions or issues. For each of the 11, explain whether or not it is important to YO, explain whether YO understands and effectively manages that topic, and explain what, if anything, you would change. 6. Explain whether you believe the YO supply chain is a "push" or a "pull" system. A typical high scoring response to this assignment would be 1,000 - 1,500 words long, plus the House of Quality chart.

The operation I chose is Starbucks. Starbucks is the largest coffeehouse chain, with locations worldwide, and the company's headquarters is located in Seattle, Washington. In addition, they are considered to be a comfortable place to relax and enjoy coffee. I chose Starbucks because it is a place I would like to work for in the future. Starbucks is a fast-growing company, and I would like to be a part of their Human Resource department. I believe they are the future; they have impeccable customer service. They also have exceptional items to choose from on the menu, from food to drinks. Starbucks allows customers to choose from organic and healthy items on their menu, and just because it is a coffee shop does not mean you cannot select items that have no caffeine, such as teas, refreshers, and blends. Starbucks also uses an application to order from, and you can earn rewards which I think correlate to great customer benefits. They also provide free wifi where you can work on your business, school, and social needs by bringing in your laptop or tablet. In addition, Starbucks is one of the companies that have a direct input in their supply chain, which means they have a say in everything that allows the company to have many products like coffee beans, cups, drinkware, teas, add ons, etc. My role in this operation is barista manager. During this role, I would be providing daily operations, such as ensuring we do not run out of products and making proper orders to our supply chain.
